Art to Remember is Back!

Art to Remember is Back! 

We will be participating again this year in an Art to Remember fundraising event  at FCPA. Packets with info, artwork, and order forms will be going home shortly.  

The plan is to put this years proceeds towards technology needs in the Art Room. My hope is to utilize this technology as a means of combining and better using both traditional and digital mediums with our students.

4th Grade Coil Building

Once upon a time long long ago... the fourth graders made coil built forms.

5th grade is making some waves

5th Grade Painting vs Printmaking 

5th grade studied the the wood block print Great Wave off Kanagawa, and breifly discussed the differences between printmaking and painting. Afterward they created these watercolor paintings with stamped Kenji symbols, inspired by Katsushika Hokusai's Prints.

In 3rd grade we discussed the principals of pattern, and rhythm. We then used the elements line, shape, and color to create these.
