2nd Grade Castles

First 2nd graders learned about landscapes, and horizon lines while looking at several landscape paintings including El Greco's View of Toledo. 

Then we created these great castle landscapes. 

Kindergarten Monsters!...

No I'm not talking about our fine students. I am of course talking about these wonderful little creations. 

(My apologies for just having a one picture of the finished product. Everyone of these turned out great but its tough to take pictures in a Kindergarten class. It was my last day with them before the Fall break, and I was literally snapping pictures as they walked out of the room... the blurry one is the best I could do.)
