5th grade draws their shoes!

5th Grade Shoes

First the 5th graders learned about contour line drawings, and drew their shoes from observation. Next they finished them off by shading them in with a gradual transition from dark to light.  

Some nice results 5th grade!

Miro

2nd Grade "We Have Created a Monster!"

2nd grade discovered Miro here, learning about Primary colors, and emulating Miro style shapes in their designs. 

3rd Grade checks out Matisse

Here the 3rd grade was learning about Matisse. We discussed his life, what a collage is, and how to balance elements in an artwork using asymmetrical balance.  

4th grade

For this project we focused on using overlap to make our sandwiches look as if one object was sitting on the other, and shading as a means of giving our sandwich some form.
